Books: We're looking for books, journals, diaries, manuscripts, memoirs, letters and etc. We like to put text versions online, rather than images. Text versions use less disk space and bandwidth, and are searchable.

We like items that are out of copyright (generally, published before 1923); were never copyrighted; are in the public domain (such as U.S. Government publications, or items released into the public domain by the copyright owner); or items in copyright when we have permission by the copyright owner to publish.
